Energetic utilization of wood waste generated during Bast Crops primary processing which is unsuitable for technological applications, contributes to the solution of the optimization problem when disposing secondary plant resources. The involvement of wood waste from the stalks of flax and hemp for fuel production will make it possible to increase the efficiency of processing plants, to create waste-free production cycle and to solve problems related to the environment protection efficiency improvement.
OBJECTIVE
Actually the development of new technologies for biofuel production from shove and bun which are in line with modern European standards of quality is a priority in the field of efficient use of resources and energy saving in the textile industry of Ukraine.

RESULTS
Performed laboratory experiments have shown the possibility in principle to receive pellets and briquettes from shive and hemp which can be widely used as a fuel material.

COMPARISON WITH WORLD ANALOGUES
A wide range of briquettes applications and advantages is a strong argument in their favor. Boiler installations, fireplaces, fan heaters using fuel briquettes in their work are the most modern and environmentally friendly compared to global peers.
ECONOMIC ATTRACTIVENESS
The economic efficiency of this type of fuel has great importance. On burning 1 t of biobriquettes the amount of released thermal energy is as big as on burning 1600 kg of wood, 475 m3 of gas, 500 liters of diesel or 685 liters of fuel oil. The efficiency of biobriquettes combustion reaches 94%.
SPHERE OF APPLICATION
Fuel briquettes have a wide range of applications and can be used for all types of furnaces, domestic and industrial boilers, they burn well in fireplaces, stoves, grills, etc. The great advantage of briquettes is constant temperature during 1,5 -2 hours of combustion.
RESULTS OF IMPLEMENTATION
Production tests which have confirmed the effectiveness of the conducted scientific research were carried out at JSC «Korop flax plant” (the town of Korop, Chernigov region) (Implementation Act from 11.11.2011).
